A Women-Only Legal Service That Puts You First
Based at the Preston Road Women’s Centre in Hull, Affordable Justice provides paid legal advice, assistance, and representation to women across England and Wales on a range of family law matters. Affordable Justice is a not-for-profit law firm, run by women for women.
Legal Help For The Challenges Women Face
Arrangements for Children
Affordable Justice can assist women who need help in agreeing arrangements for their children following separation, for example in relation to which parent the children should live with, whom they should spend time with and how and when this should take place.
Protective Orders
We can also assist women seeking protective orders such as Non-Molestation Orders or Occupation Orders where they have or are experiencing domestic abuse.
Divorce & Financial Settlements
Guidance and representation through divorce proceedings and related financial matters.
Document Drafting & Court Representation
Help preparing applications, statements, financial disclosures—and attending courtwith you where possible.
Why Affordable Justice Exists
Affordable Justice was opened as a direct response to the cuts made to legal aid for those involved in family law issues. Our aim is to provide affordable non-profit making high quality family law legal advice and assistance to women in England and Wales.
Whilst Affordable Justice is based in Hull we offer our services to Women living anywhere in England and Wales. As a registered charity and non-profit making service Affordable Justice offers an affordable alternative to the more traditional approach of most law firms.

Meet with a solicitor by phone, Zoom, or in-person in our women-only Hull office.

Who We Support
Affordable Justice is based in Hull and for local women who access our service we have a comfortable officer where we can meet in a friendly and safe women only environment. For local women with young children there is an on-site nursery where your children can be looked after during your appointment, subject to availability. For those women accessing our services from further afield we can offer appointments by either telephone or Zoom at times that are convenient and suitable.
Our services are open to all women in England and Wales. You do not need to live in Hull to access help. We work with women from all backgrounds, providing a safe, confidential, women-only environment.
Designed With Women’s Needs In Mind
Our Hull office includes a welcoming, private meeting space and access to an on-site nursery (subject to availability) for women attending appointments with children. We also offer remote appointments via phone or Zoom for women based elsewhere.

As a non-profit organisation, we aim to keep costs low and transparent. Our services are significantly more affordable than those at typical law firms.
